Padres Make A Roster Cut Today

The Padres announced this afternoon that they have made one change to their major league spring training roster.

Here’s what Buddy announced:

REASSIGNED TO MINOR LEAGUE CAMP: (not on 40-man roster, so simply reassigned)

• Jace Peterson – Got a nice opportunity to play both some SS and 3B with Chase Headley being down. Hit only .192 in his first big league camp.  Likely starts the season at AA San Antonio after a solid season last year in Lake Elsinore.

With this move there are now 43 players in camp.  The decisions from here on will generally be a little tougher with 9 days remaining before opening night.
