Red Sox reported to have swiped Crawford from Angels grasp for $142M

Baseball 08 Dec 2010

Report is coming out from Boston Globe that the Red Sox have agreed to a deal with former TB outfielder Carl Crawford for 7 year $142M.

Angels were thought to be the front runner in the Crawford sweepstakes. Boston will have committed close to $300 between Gonzalez and Crawford in last 3 days.

Don’t be surprised to see the Angels now go aggressively after 3B Adrian Beltre.  Also, wonder how this affects Rangers and Yankees battle to sign Cliff Lee?
